It had been a few months since my last visit to Guangzhou. Recently, a colleague mentioned they had never been to the Canton Tower, so I decided to accompany them on a day trip to Guangzhou.

High school was the first time I left the mountains and entered the county town, marking the beginning of my exposure to the wider world. Today, I had some free time and decided to compress the images in my Hugo site to Webp format.

Previously, images were mainly in png, jpg, and jpeg formats. While using simple image editors on Windows, I noticed that many photos were quite large in size, especially screenshots taken on my 4K monitor, which often exceeded 3 million pixels, resulting in large file sizes.
